Alberto García-Alix at Fundación Juan March Palma

Alberto García-Alix inaugurates the Photographic Meetings of Juan March Palma Foundation, a new proposal co-organized by Toni Catany International Photography Center of Llucmajor, in collaboration with the photographers Horacio Fernández and Toni Amengual. This first edition takes place in Palma and Llucmajor between May 17 and 19, 2024, and will consist of a talk in Palma with Alberto García-Alix as guest photographer, moderated by Toni Amengual and Horacio Fernández, and will continue in Llucmajor with a photography workshop and the screening of García-Alix’s audiovisual, De donde no se vuelve (2008).

This workshop will have a theoretical part, in which Alberto García-Alix will share his experience and creative process, and another practical part in which, together with the photographers Horacio Fernández and Toni Amengual, they will establish a collaborative dynamic review of the participants projects.

Projection De donde no se vuelve

Autobiographical audiovisual, directed by Alberto García-Alix and produced by the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, investigates the past and present of the artist from an intimate and subjective level. Portraying his surroundings, friends, characters and landscapes of his life, the film reveals the immediate universe of the Spanish photographer. Duration: 40′.
