FAR FROM HOME
The book “Far from home” is the catalogue of the exhibition by the same name, and staged by the Spanish photographer Alberto García-Alix, in collaboration with the Japanese Daido Moriyama, in the Gallery Kamel Mennour in Paris (France) in 2008.
To carry out this project Moriyama and García-Alix chose to combine their perspectives, temperaments and territories in order to challenge the East / West dichotomy. Thus the “Eastern” Daido Moriyama presented the work he did in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 2004 and 2005. Meanwhile, the “Western” Alberto García-Alix chose to show the photographs he took in Beijing (China) in 2007.
