18 May Alberto García-Alix, speaker at the Fujikina 2026 photography festival
The FUJIFILM European Photography Festival (Fujikina 2026) will transform the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM) into a space dedicated to photographic creation and learning on May 23 and 24. The event will bring together photography enthusiasts, content creators, image professionals, and the general public for a program designed to explore photography. Over two days, attendees can participate in a variety of activities, including lectures, exhibitions, photographic tours, and workshops, which will allow them to discover photography from different perspectives: inspiration, street photography, and the creative process behind a professional shoot, among others.
The lecture series will feature leading photographers, creators, and professionals sharing their vision, working methods, and the stories behind their images. Among the speakers is Alberto García-Alix, who will present his visual lecture Absence as a Stimulus, a talk in which he reflects on how the theme of absence serves as a common thread and catalyst in his photographs. Interspersed with the text, the author presents 68 photographs taken over the last fifteen years.
Saturday, May 23th, 7:30 p.m. Auditorium of the Official College of Architects of Madrid. Lecture: Absence as a Stimulus by Alberto García-Alix. More information on the website of FUJIKINA 2026.
