10 Apr García-Alix participates in the CLUB NEGATIVO of Fundación Caja Badajoz

Alberto García-Alix presents his audiovisual piece De donde no se vueve (The place of no return) in Badajoz, next Monday, April 14th. The screening is part of CLUB NEGATIVO activities, organized by Caja Badajoz Foundation (Fundación CB), which goal is to develop free and open events for the province’s cultural and photography community, turning each activity into “a meeting place where people can express themselves, socialize, learn, and teach others.”

The place of no return was created by the photographer for the exhibition of the same name held in 2008 at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS). It is a forty-minute audiovisual work in which, through his own voice and from a subjective present, he reflects on his past and his photography: an “endless monologue” through which he brings the viewer closer to his most intimate and poetic side.

This is a unique opportunity to see this creation by the photographer, of which only three copies were available, one of them acquired by the MNCARS. It is only shown in the presence of the photographer or at his own exhibitions.
